Black Pink 10th Anniversary Debut, Jisoo Apologizes for Lack of Communication with Fans, Saying "I Feel Very Sorry"

Black Pink Jisoo delivered an apology message to fans on the occasion of her 10th debut anniversary. On August 8, Jisoo shared through the fan communication platform that it has been 10 years since her debut as Black Pink, and she revealed that this anniversary is a day filled with a heavy heart of apology. She said that although many things have happened over the past 10 years as both Black Pink and Jisoo, she always wanted to show only her best side and be someone who brings happiness during difficult moments. However, she added that her heart feels heavy due to many BLINKs being upset. Jisoo did not forget that it is BLINKs who made Black Pink shine, saying, ″Thank you for celebrating the 10th anniversary, and I am once again sorry for causing such great disappointment. I always want to say thank you and that I love you.″ She also expressed hope that although the feelings of upset are great, there remains a place within them for a small sincerity. The fan event ″Meet & Greet″ commemorating Black Pink’s 10th debut anniversary was held on August 8 at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This event was a small-scale gathering attended by 40 people selected through a lottery among Weverse membership subscribers, with the announcement made two days prior on the 6th. The specific location, time, and whether the members would attend were not clearly communicated until just before the event, causing disappointment among fans. In particular, the fact that only 40 people were invited despite the symbolic significance of the 10th anniversary was also a source of dissatisfaction. The initial announcement included that only some members would attend, but later YG Entertainment stated that all members, including Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, coordinated their schedules to attend the event. Eligibility to apply for the fan event was limited to fan platform membership subscribers who had not communicated for over a year, and the application period was set to a short 9 hours.
