Jungkook's 'Seven' on the Billboard Global Chart for 159 weeks... First and longest record for an Asian solo artist

Jungkook’s first solo song ″Seven″ has appeared on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for 159 consecutive weeks. This record is the first and longest-charting achievement on this chart for any Asian group or solo artist song. On the August 8 Billboard Korea Global K-Songs chart, ″Seven″ ranked 20th, ″Standing Next To You″ ranked 66th, and ″3D″ ranked 83rd. All three songs have remained on the chart for 36 weeks. On the same date’s Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, ″Seven″ rose 28 spots from the previous week to rank 157th. Jungkook debuted at number one on the Billboard main singles chart Hot 100 with ″Seven,″ released in 2023, and stayed on the chart for 15 weeks. Jungkook achieved number one on major charts including Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Global 200 with ″Seven,″ ″Standing Next to You,″ and ″3D.″ Additionally, ″Seven″ became the first debut song by an Asian male artist to reach 1.3 billion plays on YouTube Music. On Spotify’s main chart Weekly Top Songs Global, it charted for 157 weeks, the longest for any Asian solo artist song, and was the first among Asian artist songs and 2023 releases to surpass 3.04 billion streams.
