TWS, 225,853 copies sold in the first week of the second Japanese single album... New record at No. 2 on Oricon and Billboard Japan

TWS (Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) recorded sales of 225,853 copies in the first week of release with their 2nd Japanese single album ’SODA SODA,’ ranking 2nd on the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking (August 17 issue / tracking period: August 3–9). With this achievement, TWS set the highest first-week sales for an album release since their debut in Japan. The new release ’SODA SODA’ surpassed the sales of their previous best, the 5th mini album ’NO TRAGEDY,’ and also exceeded the first-week sales of their local debut single released last year, ’Nice to see you again (original title はじめまして / Hajimemashite),’ on the first day of release. ’SODA SODA’ showed a strong start by ranking 1st on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking on the day of release. It also ranked 2nd on Billboard Japan’s latest ’Top Single Sales’ chart (released August 12 / tracking period: August 3–9). The title track ’SODA SODA’ reached 1st place on the Japan iTunes and Apple Music ’Top Song’ dance category, as well as the AWA real-time rising chart. The music video ranked high on Line Music’s ’Music Video Top 100’ and Korea YouTube’s ’Daily Popular Music Videos.’ To celebrate the release of the new album, TWS held a public event at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Japan, attracting around 10,000 attendees. Various offline events, including the ’TWS Shibuya Stamp Rally,’ were held throughout the city. The members also appeared on local music shows and festivals, expanding their connection with fans. TWS is scheduled to perform on August 14 and 16 at Japan’s largest music festival, ’Summer Sonic 2026,’ and will continue their Asia tour ’24/7:FOR:YOU’ with concerts in Fukuoka from August 28 to 30, Hyogo from September 4 to 6, and Kanagawa on September 12 and 13.
