Hwang Jung-min's private life exposed, Mr. A deletes SNS account... Stalking charges sentencing on September 8

It has been confirmed that the SNS account of a woman in her 40s, identified as A, who has been exposing actor Hwang Jung-min’s private life, was deleted as of the 13th. The Instagram account through which A had been sharing private messages and recordings with Hwang Jung-min is currently inaccessible, and the account page displays a message stating, ″The link you clicked is incorrect or the page has been deleted.″ The exact reason for the deletion of A’s account has not been revealed. There is speculation that A either deactivated or deleted the account herself, or that Instagram took action. Since last month, A has been revealing her relationship with Hwang Jung-min and expressing her position through the account. A claimed that she had an inappropriate relationship with Hwang Jung-min from August 2023 until the end of 2024, stating that they met 3 to 4 times in person and mostly communicated via phone calls or messenger. She asserted that she worked on writing tasks, including sexually explicit novels, and tasks related to alcohol branding at Hwang Jung-min’s request. Both parties have conflicting claims regarding physical contact, but they agree that no sexual intercourse took place. Hwang Jung-min filed a stalking complaint against A in August last year, and the trial is currently ongoing. In February, the court issued a summary order fining A 3 million won, but A appealed and requested a formal trial. At the sentencing hearing held on the 11th at the Goyang branch of Uijeongbu District Court, the prosecution requested a fine of 10 million won and an order to complete a stalking treatment program for A, who was charged with violating the Stalking Punishment Act and other offenses. The prosecution cited the long duration of the offenses, the numerous one-sided contacts, and the posting of threatening messages targeting the victim and his family on SNS as reasons for the sentencing. A’s side claimed innocence regarding the stalking charges. In her final statement, A acknowledged some wrongdoing in certain actions but said, ″The story that I was a stalker who unilaterally chased one person for two years is completely different.″ She also argued that it had not been proven that Hwang Jung-min clearly refused contact. Separately from this trial, A has also filed a lawsuit against Hwang Jung-min seeking damages for labor related to design drafts and scenario writing that she provided. The court is scheduled to hold a verdict hearing on the morning of the 8th of next month.
