TWS, Japanese single 2nd album 'SODA SODA' ranks 2nd on Oricon weekly chart... highest sales record in debut week

The group TWS set a new personal record by selling 225,853 copies in the first week of their second Japanese single album, ″SODA SODA.″ According to Japan’s Oricon, TWS (Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin)’s ″SODA SODA″ ranked 2nd on the latest ″Weekly Single Ranking″ (August 17 issue, tracking period August 3–9). This record marks the highest first-week sales for TWS in Japan, surpassing the first-week sales of their previous 5th mini-album ″NO TRAGEDY.″ Additionally, ″SODA SODA″ exceeded the first-week sales of their Japanese debut single released last year, ″Nice to see you again (original title はじめまして/はじめまして),″ with sales from the first day alone, and it also ranked 1st on Oricon’s ″Daily Single Ranking.″ The single also ranked 2nd on Billboard Japan’s latest ″Top Single Sales″ chart (tracking period August 3–9), released on August 12. The title track ″SODA SODA″ took 1st place on Japan iTunes and Apple Music’s ″Top Song″ dance category, as well as on AWA’s real-time rising chart. The music video ranked high on Line Music’s ″Music Video Top 100″ and Korea YouTube’s ″Daily Popular Music Videos.″ Various local promotions have been ongoing alongside the single release. Approximately 10,000 people attended the public event held on the release day at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, and offline events such as the ″TWS Shibuya Stamp Rally″ are also taking place. The members are actively participating in Japanese music shows and festivals. TWS is scheduled to perform at the Japanese music festival ″Summer Sonic 2026″ on the 14th and 16th. Following that, they will hold their Asia tour ″24/7:FOR:YOU″ Japan concerts in Fukuoka from August 28 to 30, in Hyogo from September 4 to 6, and in Kanagawa from September 12 to 13.
