Kim Jaejoong revealed the difficulties he faced due to his appearance during his school days. In the video ″Kim Jaejoong vs Appearance Absence″ released on the channel ″Kkondaehee″ on the 15th, Kim Jaejoong shared his experience of being assaulted at school because of his pale and handsome looks. He said, ″Life was hard. Why did they hit me like that? Since school days, the slightly pale kids... the ones who were opposite to them were told to lower their eyes. If they didn’t, the seniors would drag them to the back alleys.″ He continued, ″When a pretty girl liked me, the older guys would drag me away. They told me to follow them to the rooftop. I looked down a lot to avoid eye contact, so I have a turtle neck. I wandered from home to school.″ Kim Jaejoong also expressed support for people in similar situations, having gone through tough times because of his noticeable appearance. He added, ″I really support those who are naturally very handsome. There are many hardships. It’s uncomfortable. People take pictures around you. You can’t eat whatever you want. You have to manage your expression while eating,″ sharing from his own experience. Now in his 40s, Kim Jaejoong said he has disarmed himself and lives comfortably.
