Isol, in the fourth year of marriage, confesses on social media, "Maintaining distance in the relationship... Reflecting on its value"

Former actress turned influencer Lee Sol-i recently revealed through social media that she is on a diet of letting go of relationships. On August 16, Lee Sol-i shared her experience of giving a congratulatory speech at a friend’s wedding on her social media and mentioned the precious bond with her friend. She said, ″My beloved friend got married recently! It was my first time giving a congratulatory speech, and my throat tightened even before I went up.″ She continued, ″She was the friend who always stood bravely by my side when I was going through a dark and long tunnel, pulling me out into the world,″ explaining that they used to frequently share their daily lives. She revealed that they now live far apart and that her friend is expecting a baby, adding, ″Although we are gradually focusing more on our individual lives, whenever I think of her, I feel overwhelmingly full and happy.″ Lee Sol-i expressed, ″I am truly grateful that she became my precious connection back then,″ saying that the phrase ″seasonal bond″ feels warm and affectionate. Through subtitles in the video, Lee Sol-i stated, ″These days, I am on a diet. Not of the body, but a diet of emptying relationships. It’s somewhat different from the commonly known sharp cut-off. It’s closer to gently folding away passing connections under the name of ’seasonal bonds,’ preserving them as they were at their kindest.″ She also said, ″There was a time when we intensely intertwined our daily lives, but at some point, we reached a comfortable distance where we occasionally check in after a long time without adding any resentment.″ Lee Sol-i confessed, ″After countless experiences of relying too much and getting to know each other deeply, only to have my heart unknowingly stretched too tight and returning as wounds equal to my expectations, I finally began to allow each relationship its own season.″ She added, ″Connections have a thrilling spring, a passionate summer, a lonely autumn, and a piercing winter. It is also very natural that among these seasons, there is a ’seasonal bond’ resembling a transitional period. Perhaps loving such seasonal bonds is the most positive way to embrace the times we have passed.″ Meanwhile, Lee Sol-i married Park Sung-kwang in 2020. Recently, the two were surrounded by divorce rumors. Lee Sol-i posted, ″At thirty-nine, I have a past I want to erase. It was a time when I met someone with different values and tried to persuade each other all night long. Days when I tried to force words carrying my emotions into the other person’s heart.″ She later clarified, ″I am living well without regrets. The ’past I want to erase’ is just a bit of hooking to express my thoughts,″ adding, ″Still, embracing those differences is love.″
