Park Seo-jin performed a meaningful act of kindness at a restaurant run by descendants of national veterans in celebration of Liberation Day. On the August 15th broadcast of KBS2’s ″Men Who Do Housework Season 2,″ Park Seo-jin and his younger sister Park Hyo-jung, along with history advisor Sun Kim, ran an 8.15 km course passing major sites such as Tapgol Park, Seodaemun Prison, and the Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall. After the run, they visited a restaurant operated by descendants of national veterans. Standing in front of the restaurant, Park Seo-jin said, ″It looks like a famous restaurant at first glance,″ and added, ″I wanted to express gratitude, not just learn history. I set a target amount.″ To commemorate Liberation Day, he set a goal of spending 815,000 won on meals and invited the Ssireum team from Yeonsin Middle School as special supporters. The Ssireum team members who joined the restaurant quickly finished their food and contributed to the meal. Park Hyo-jung watched the ace of the Ssireum team eat competitively and showed a playful rivalry. After feeling full, she went outside to do a second solo run before returning. In the end, Park Seo-jin paid 823,000 won with his personal card, exceeding the original target amount. He shared his thoughts, saying, ″Remembering history is important, but putting gratitude into action made me realize that even small acts have significant meaning.″
