Psy concert fireworks smoke influx, NC-Lotte game suspended for 19 minutes... Sajik Stadium in chaos

The game between the NC Dinos and the Lotte Giants of the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League held at Busan Sajik Stadium was temporarily suspended during the 6th inning due to smoke entering from outside. During the game, the umpires decided to pause the match as the smoke covering the field made it difficult for the players and officials to maintain clear visibility. The game resumed at 9:01 PM, about 19 minutes after the smoke had thinned. The smoke was reported to have been caused by fireworks used during Psy’s ″Psy Humpback Show Summer Swag 2026″ concert held at the nearby Busan Asiad Main Stadium. An announcement on the Sajik Stadium scoreboard also informed that the game was suspended due to fireworks smoke from the nearby concert event. A similar incident reportedly occurred last year as well. In August of last year, smoke from fireworks at Psy’s Humpback Show spread to Sajik Stadium, causing the game in progress at that time to be halted.
