Hwang Hyun-min "Marco broke Bae Jung-nam's front tooth and settled for 20 million won" new claim... No official statements from the parties involved

Hwang Hyun-min made new claims on his SNS regarding the 2009 club assault incident involving Marco and Bae Jung-nam. He stated that Marco assaulted Bae Jung-nam at a club while appearing on ″We Got Married,″ breaking two of Bae’s front teeth, and that he personally paid a settlement of 20 million won the next day. He also claimed that immediately after the incident, Bae Jung-nam brought four members of a Busan organized crime group, and that he and Marco dealt with them directly. Hwang Hyun-min shared his experience of handling the situation himself to prevent it from being reported in the media at the time. He expressed, ″When I think about how hard I ran around trying to keep this from being reported, I still feel like beating those two guys to death.″ Recently, Hwang mentioned this incident again along with posts criticizing Bae Jung-nam’s political stance. Meanwhile, Bae Jung-nam and Marco have previously expressed differing positions on the incident through broadcasts. In 2017, Bae Jung-nam explained on MBC’s ″Radio Star″ that he was suddenly assaulted by a man from Marco’s group at the club in 2009. He said he was knocked down without being able to fight back, and that the incident was resolved after Marco’s agency representative brought the man to apologize. Regarding the fight video circulating online, he clarified that he did not participate in the assault. Marco also explained on MBC Every1’s ″Video Star″ in the same year that there was no direct physical fight between him and Bae Jung-nam, stating that the incident occurred between an acquaintance and Bae Jung-nam. He added that the two later cleared up the misunderstanding through a phone call. As of now, no new official statements have been confirmed from Bae Jung-nam or Marco regarding Hwang Hyun-min’s claims. With Hwang revealing different assertions about the incident and the settlement payment after about 17 years, further verification of the circumstances and settlement details is needed.
