Jang Dong-gun and Go So-young, first couple talk after 16 years of marriage: "Our first meeting felt like a fantasy"

Actors Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young appeared together on Ko So-young’s YouTube channel talk show for the first time in 16 years since their marriage, revealing their first meeting and initial impressions of each other. Jang Dong-gun appeared as the first guest on Ko So-young’s new program, ″Ko So-young Show.″ The video was released on Ko So-young’s YouTube channel on the 18th. In the broadcast, the two recalled the time when they first connected and had an honest conversation. Jang Dong-gun recalled the moment he first saw Ko So-young, saying that he saw her wearing red shoes standing in front of a department store while passing by in a car. He said, ″There was a woman standing there who was so beautiful, like a fantasy,″ and added, ″As I passed by in the car, I thought, ’There really is someone that beautiful.’″ When Ko So-young asked, ″Red shoes? Not a red dress?″ Jang Dong-gun replied, ″My memory might be distorted.″ Ko So-young also mentioned how she first got to know Jang Dong-gun. She said she became aware of him through the MBC drama ″Our Paradise.″ She explained that they naturally ran into each other in the broadcasting station’s waiting room and cafeteria, and since they were the same age, they greeted each other comfortably. Ko So-young recalled her first impression of Jang Dong-gun, saying, ″He was so handsome like a sculpture but had a truly pure soul. He seemed like a model student.″ She also said their personalities were different, explaining, ″Since my role was an X-generation image, I had to be lively and active, but Dong-gun was calm, introverted, and quiet even back then.″ Ko So-young added, ″When I greeted him cheerfully with ’Hi,’ Dong-gun would get shy.″ The two developed a romantic relationship after co-starring in the 1999 film ″Hurricane Polymar″ and got married in 2010.
