NCT Dream renews contracts with SM... Announces new full-length album ahead of 10th debut anniversary

Six members of NCT Dream have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment. On the 20th, SM Entertainment announced that Haechan, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung have signed new contracts based on mutual trust and affection for the team, and will continue to work together moving forward. Since their debut on August 25, 2016, NCT Dream has delivered messages of hope and positivity with their refreshing energy and passion. Originally formed as a teenage unit with all members in their teens, they operated a ″graduation″ system where members would leave the team upon turning 20. Starting as a seven-member group with Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung, they released various songs including ″Chewing Gum,″ ″My First and Last,″ ″We Young,″ and ″We Go Up.″ After Mark’s graduation, they continued as a six-member group and released songs such as ″Boom″ and ″Ridin’.″ In 2020, the graduation system was abolished, allowing Mark to rejoin the team, and in May 2021, they released their first full-length album, ″Hot Sauce.″ Since then, they have actively promoted with numerous full albums and mini-albums. In April, Mark withdrew from NCT Dream, NCT 127, and NCT, ending his exclusive contract with SM, leaving NCT Dream to continue as a six-member group. NCT Dream has received much love with hit songs like ″Smoothie,″ ″Hello Future,″ ″Candy,″ and ″When We’re Together.″ The agency stated, ″Over the past 10 years, they have turned countless dreams into reality,″ and expressed gratitude to the members and fans who have supported them in becoming an ″icon of growth″ and a ″representative K-pop artist.″ They also pledged, ″We will continue to provide unwavering support so that NCT Dream’s infinite potential can shine even brighter,″ and asked for ″much anticipation and continued support for the diverse activities planned for the second half of this year.″ NCT Dream will celebrate their 10th anniversary on the 25th and is preparing to release a new full-length album in the fourth quarter.
