Woo Seo-yoon, eldest daughter of Woo Ji-won, crowned Miss Korea... 191cm fine arts major draws renewed attention

Woo Seo-yoon, the eldest daughter of Woo Ji-won, was selected as the Jin (眞) at the 70th Miss Korea Pageant. In this competition, 26 finalists were chosen after regional contests in eight areas nationwide, drawing attention as children of celebrities participated. Woo Seo-yoon advanced to the finals as Seon (善) in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon regional preliminaries and was ultimately crowned Jin on the final stage. Right after winning, she said, ″I did not expect this at all, so I wasn’t prepared with a speech. My fellow contestants worked so hard, and I think we were able to complete a wonderful stage through painstaking effort. I am so happy.″ She also expressed gratitude, saying, ″To my family and friends! Thank you so much for always supporting and encouraging me. It seems this stage was created through the hard work and effort of so many people.″ Woo Seo-yoon gained attention for her cute appearance as a child on SBS’s Star Junior Show Bungeoppang and showed a more mature side last year on tvN STORY’s variety show My Child’s Love 2. She is currently majoring in Fine Arts at Tufts University in the United States and aims to become a global art curator. In this competition, Oh Soo-min won Seon (善), and Lee Min-sol received Mi (美). In the special awards category, Noh Hyang was awarded Ye (藝), and Lee So-min received Jae (才). The Friendship Award, voted on by the candidates themselves, went to Lee So-min, and the Popularity Award was given to Seo Yeo-eun. Meanwhile, Jeon Su-wan, daughter of Jeon Hee-chul, also advanced to the finals but did not place. The event was hosted by Oh Sang-jin and Park Hee-sun. With this win, Woo Seo-yoon follows in the footsteps of previous Miss Korea Jin titleholders.
