Lee Hwi-hyang appeared on MBN’s ’Kim Ju-ha’s Day and Night’ and shared behind-the-scenes stories about the scenes where she slapped Park Shin-hye multiple times in the drama ’Stairway to Heaven,’ as well as stories about her husband. During the broadcast, Lee Hwi-hyang mentioned an episode with Park Shin-hye during the filming of ’Stairway to Heaven.’ She revealed that although the script simply stated ″slap,″ during the actual filming, she discussed with the production team and performed about 30 slaps on the cheek. After filming, she hugged Park Shin-hye and apologized. Lee recalled that Park Shin-hye’s face was swollen at the time and later shared an anecdote about unexpectedly meeting a matured Park Shin-hye at the airport and exchanging greetings. Lee Hwi-hyang also shared the difficulties she experienced while playing villain roles. She cited that one reason she continued playing villains was because her happiness in acting had not been the same for the past 5 to 6 years.
