Big Bang kicks off 20th anniversary world tour... 100,000 fans thrilled at Goyang concert

BIGBANG opened their world tour ″BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR ’XX : COSMOS’″ at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary. The concert took place over three days from August 21 to 23, and fans gave a warm welcome to BIGBANG, who performed together as a complete group for the first time in 8 years and 8 months. The performance featured a series of hit songs including ″FANTASTIC BABY,″ ″LOSER,″ ″BAE BAE,″ ″BANG BANG BANG,″ ″Haru Haru,″ ″Lies,″ ″Sunset Glow,″ and ″Last Farewell.″ Each member also showcased their distinct personality during their solo stages. Daesung presented trot and rock sounds with songs like ″Universe,″ ″Over the Limit,″ and ″Look at Me, Defector,″ while Taeyang delivered powerful performances with ″BAD,″ ″Ringa Linga,″ and ″Live Fast Die Slow.″ G-Dragon dominated the stage with ″Power,″ ″Crayon,″ and ″Crooked.″ Notably, the new song ″BiiiG″ was performed for the first time during this concert. The song quickly rose to number one on the music charts, proving BIGBANG’s enduring influence. The members were directly involved in the production of the concert, incorporating BIGBANG’s unique style into the setlist of over 30 songs, stage direction, and overall design. World-renowned production staff including Wow Jones, Mike Carson, and S. Devlin participated in the concert’s direction. The stage featured a 23-ton mobile LED screen and ″multi-motor torque synchronization″ technology, with graphics, lighting, lasers, and fireworks themed around planets, constellations, and the moon, emphasizing the ″COSMOS″ concept. A band session and 20 dancers joined the stage to complete a dynamic live performance. Fans of various generations filled the audience, with light sticks in yellow and blue illuminating the seats. According to the Korea Performing Arts Integrated System (KOPIS), 35,000 people attended each day on the 21st and 22nd, totaling about 70,000 attendees, and the total audience over the three days is expected to exceed 100,000. The members expressed their gratitude to fans, saying, ″We were happy to meet again in a large venue after a long time. There is nothing more beautiful than the process of growing together over 20 years.″ Taeyang added, ″It’s been 8 years and 8 months since our last concert. The 20 years have passed so quickly. At this rate, I wonder if we can perform energetically until we’re 88.″ This world tour will continue with a total of 33 shows in 19 cities worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, starting with the Goyang concert.
