BTS's 'Swim' receives France SNEP Gold certification... 10th achievement in 5 months since release

The title track ″SWIM″ from BTS’s fifth full-length album ″ARIRANG″ has received a ″Gold″ certification in the singles category from the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP). Big Hit Music announced this news on the 26th. The French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing grants ″Gold″ certification to songs that have achieved the equivalent of 15 million cumulative streams by combining streaming, downloads, and physical album sales. ″SWIM″ became BTS’s tenth single to receive ″Gold″ certification from SNEP. Previously certified songs include ″Dynamite,″ ″Butter,″ ″Boy With Luv,″ and ″FAKE LOVE.″ ″SWIM″ earned certification about five months after its release. Earlier, ″Dynamite″ set the record for the shortest time for a K-pop song to receive ″Gold″ certification by achieving it within three months of release, followed by ″SWIM.″ The fifth full-length album ″ARIRANG″ also showed achievements in the album category. It received ″Gold″ certification six days after release and added ″Platinum″ certification after selling over 100,000 copies within a month. In the latest Billboard chart (dated August 29) announced on the 25th (local time), ″ARIRANG″ ranked 24th on the main album chart, the Billboard 200. The album debuted at number one on the April 4 chart, stayed at the top for three consecutive weeks, and has remained on the chart for five months. The title track ″SWIM″ maintained a top 5 position for 22 consecutive weeks on the ″Global (excluding U.S.)″ chart, ranking fifth, and placed 14th on the ″Global 200″ chart. BTS is currently conducting the world tour ″ARIRANG″ and is scheduled to continue performances at Soldier Field in Chicago on the 27th and 28th.
