Big Bang, first solo concert in 8 years and 8 months... First stage as a trio draws 100,000 spectators

Big Bang held a solo concert for the first time in 8 years and 8 months, marking the start of their 20th anniversary world tour. The first show of the world tour ″XX: Cosmos,″ held from August 21 to 23 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, featured G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung performing as a three-member group. Approximately 100,000 fans attended the concerts over the three days. The event attracted a large number of celebrities and stars from the entertainment industry. Singer IU was spotted attending the performance on the 23rd. IU was seated in the audience wearing a cap and mask in a casual outfit, drawing renewed attention to their close relationship with the Big Bang members. In 2017, G-Dragon featured on IU’s song ″Palette,″ and at that time, G-Dragon gained attention for the encouraging lyrics, ″You shine the brightest. Don’t be afraid when darkness falls.″ Despite experiencing symptoms of vocal cord nodules and currently adjusting schedules for the upcoming Goyang Stadium concert and the release of their 6th full album next month, IU came to support the concert. This also marked their first official public appearance since breaking up with actor Lee Jong-suk in July. Hyomin, formerly of T-ara, also shared photos from the concert on her personal account on the 24th with the caption ″My eternal idol Big Bang.″ Hyomin appeared in all-black fashion and posted a photo with Daesung after the concert, adding the comment, ″Daesung, why are you so awesome?″ She also included the phrase, ″Big Bang’s 20th anniversary with the heart-touching ’Sunset Glow.’ See you again.″ Hip-hop artist Beenzino and model Stephanie Michova, a married couple, also attended the concert. Michova posted a review on her account on the 23rd, saying, ″It was absolutely the best. The last time I saw them was at the 2015 LA concert, and to see them again in Korea in 2026, I sang along and laughed for three hours.″ Michova appeared in the music video for G-Dragon and Taeyang’s ″Good Boy″ in 2014. Beenzino earned the nickname ″GunBang″ due to his connection with Taeyang and Daesung, having performed together at the Ground Forces Festival during his military service. Starting with the Goyang concerts, Big Bang plans to continue their tour with 33 shows in 19 cities worldwide, including Oakland in the United States, Paris in France, London in the United Kingdom, and Sydney in Australia.
