She said, ″This company was started by just me and an accounting staff member. We rented a small office in Yeoksam-dong and reformulated American supplements to suit Korean bodies,″ adding, ″If I hadn’t overseen the formulation itself, this day wouldn’t have come.″ Regarding criticisms that the brand’s advertisements are excessive, Esther Yeo explained, ″Even I skip our ads when they appear while I’m watching YouTube. Our staff say, ’They appear often because you see those things frequently,’ but I don’t tell them to advertise a lot. What I emphasize is to advertise properly.″ She continued, ″They keep emphasizing how cheap it is, but shouldn’t the strength of our product be its unique features academically? Yet they keep talking only about discounts,″ expressing her dissatisfaction. Esther Yeo also revealed her experience of undergoing electroconvulsive therapy requiring general anesthesia due to chronic depression. Addressing some views that she exploits her depression for marketing, she said, ″When I opened up about my depression, the marketing team called it a bombshell. We sell health-related products, and I confessed to having depression and insomnia, and my husband also disclosed his lung disease.″ She added, ″Although I am currently running a business, as a doctor, I have a social duty, so I wanted to show how I was completely cured.″ Esther Yeo confessed that her depression began in earnest around the age of thirty, and despite trying various treatments for ten years as a doctor, some issues remained unresolved.
