Song Kang: "During our military service, V and I went out, visited PC rooms, and ate together... V usually paid for the meals."

Song Kang revealed how he became close to V (BTS) during his military service. Song Kang was discharged last October after completing his service as an active-duty sergeant in the army. On the 25th, Song Kang appeared on the web variety show ″Salon Drip″ on the YouTube channel ″TEO Teo,″ returning with the new tvN drama ″Po Hands.″ During the broadcast, Jang Do-yeon mentioned a four-cut photo taken by Song Kang and V during their military service and asked about the background of their friendship. Song Kang explained that although they belonged to the same corps, their roles were different. V was in the military police special unit, while Song Kang was a regular soldier, and they got in touch through an acquaintance. He added that they met outside the base by coordinating their weekday leave dates. Whenever they went out, Song Kang and V built their friendship by eating together or visiting PC rooms. Song Kang said, ″We met, ate meals, and often went to PC rooms.″ He also shared that five members from V’s unit and five from his unit gathered to play 5-on-5 team games. When asked about who paid for the meals, Song Kang replied, ″He paid,″ but he also said he covered the costs a few times. He mentioned that he paid when he lost bets on games or bowling. Song Kang also recalled his outings with his military peers. They left the base at 8 a.m., had lunch with pork cutlet rice bowls and ramen at a PC room, played betting games at a bowling alley, and then visited a sauna where they could get military discounts. As the eldest among his peers, Song Kang said he sometimes bought beef or covered 80% of the lodging costs during overnight leaves. When Jang Do-yeon asked, ″You can pay for everything, so why 80%?″ Song Kang replied, ″They said they would pay 20% because they won the games. I liked the people I met.″
