TWICE Nayeon purchases land and building in Cheongdam-dong for 9.5 billion KRW... Attention on reconstruction and development value

TWICE member Nayeon (Im Nayeon, 30) has been confirmed to have purchased land and a building located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 9.5 billion KRW. According to a report by Chosun Biz, Nayeon signed a real estate sales contract for the property in Cheongdam-dong on May 3rd, and the ownership transfer registration was completed on the 24th of this month. The certified copy of the register shows that a mortgage with a maximum claim amount of 10.2 billion KRW has been established on the property. The purchased building is an old structure with one basement floor and two above-ground floors, expanded in 2010, with a total floor area of 218.87m2 (1st floor 105.38m2, 2nd floor 73.31m2, basement 1 floor 40.18m2). The land on which the building is located sits at a corner where two roads meet, making it suitable for reconstruction as a company headquarters or commercial space. It is also known that the building’s usage was recently changed from residential and neighborhood living facilities to entirely neighborhood living facilities. The sale price, when converted to land area, is approximately 1.5 billion to 1.55 billion KRW per 3.3m2. The real estate industry views that Nayeon purchased the property with consideration for land value and future reconstruction potential rather than rental income. Previously, Nayeon purchased one unit of the high-end apartment ″Brighton N40″ in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, with an exclusive area of 128.15m2, for 3.936235 billion KRW in 2024. Five days after signing the sales contract, she rented it out with a jeonse deposit of 2.8 billion KRW. No mortgage was established on this apartment. Brighton N40 consists of 148 units across five buildings, ranging from four basement floors to ten above-ground floors, and is known to be owned by broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk, Seventeen Hoshi, Infinite’s L, and actress Oh Yeon-seo. Meanwhile, TWICE, to which Nayeon belongs, concluded their world tour ″THIS IS FOR″ with a performance at the KSPO DOME in Seoul in July. TWICE held 81 solo concerts in 44 regions across Asia, North America, and Europe, setting records such as the highest number of attendees for a K-pop girl group in North America, being the first overseas artist to perform at the Tokyo National Stadium, and attracting 640,000 attendees during their Japan tour.
