Lim Hyun-sik clarifies health rumors: "Lost 7-8kg after stent procedure, but I'm fine now"

Actor Lim Hyun-sik personally explained the situation regarding rumors about his health. On the 29th, Lim Hyun-sik and Hwang Seok-jung appeared as guests on MBN’s ″Kim Ju-ha’s Day and Night.″ Lim Hyun-sik revealed that last summer he visited the hospital due to stomach pain, and the test results diagnosed indigestion, gallbladder issues, and poor blood circulation. He underwent a stent procedure, and the examination and treatment took about six months. He said he lost about 7 to 8 kilograms during the treatment process. Lim Hyun-sik shared, ″These days, I’m doing better. It doesn’t heal quickly.″ Following the doctor’s recommendation, he takes naps for at least 30 minutes to an hour, saying, ″What better diagnosis is there than that? I slept as much as I wanted.″ The broadcast also showed Lim Hyun-sik jokingly saying, ″I’m starting to feel sleepy.″ During the broadcast, Lim Hyun-sik recalled his time starring in the movie ″Hope,″ mentioning that although he mainly worked in dramas, he was pleased when the production manager of ″Hope″ personally came to him with the script. He added that he was honored when director Na Hong-jin said he would cast him. Regarding his experience filming on location in Romania, he said he was unfamiliar with overseas shoots, so he brought his son-in-law along, and shared anecdotes about boarding the plane and recalling an emergency landing in Turkey due to a mechanical issue. Lim Hyun-sik also talked about his stock investment experience. He mentioned that a shipbuilding stock he bought 25 years ago dropped from 10,000 won to 2,500 won, and that he sold an electric stock he bought for 250,000 won per share 2 to 3 years ago at a loss two years ago, but it later rose to 2.7 million won. Regarding this, he said, ″I wondered what someone like me is living for.″ Despite losing money in stocks, he recommended stocks to Hwang Seok-jung, saying, ″Nowadays, it’s worth trying. It’s been doing so well.″
