NEXZ releases mini 4th album 'SAUCIN'... surpasses 430,000 in initial sales and dominates charts

NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, Yuki) released their fourth mini-album ’SAUCIN’’ on August 24. This album is their first new release in about four months since the second single ’Mmchk’ released in April. The title ’SAUCIN’’ combines ’SAUCE’ and ’-ING,’ representing NEXZ’s ongoing journey highlighting their unique charm. The album includes six tracks: the title track ’SAUCIN’,’ ’LOCO,’ ’APPETITE,’ ’UPGRADE,’ ’20 NOW,’ and ’ALIENS.’ Through various genres, the members’ free energy, confidence, and growth are revealed. The title track ’SAUCIN’’ attracted K-pop fans’ attention with lyrics comparing oneself to a food sauce, lively energy, and an addictive melody. The album topped iTunes top album charts in several overseas regions, the Circle Chart retail album chart dated the 24th, and the Hanteo Chart album chart dated the 25th. According to Hanteo Chart, the initial sales volume was counted at 432,672 copies. NEXZ appeared on stages of Mnet’s ’M Countdown,’ KBS 2TV’s ’Music Bank,’ MBC’s ’Show! Music Core,’ and SBS’s ’Inkigayo’ from the 27th to the 30th. On the title track ’SAUCIN’’ stage, they showed exciting energy; on the ’LOCO’ stage, groovy rhythms and powerful performances; and on the ’APPETITE’ stage, energetic charm. On the 29th, on MBC’s ’Show! Music Core,’ Tomoya, So Gun, and Yuki dressed as chefs and served as special MCs, delivering witty hosting. The three members led the atmosphere on-site with their quick back-and-forth and smooth hosting. Additionally, NEXZ showed their communication with children on the web variety show ’The Return of Superman - Dream Friends,’ and displayed their wit and variety skills in various contents such as ’Beige Cafeteria’ and ’Dol (dol) Situation.’ The ’SAUCIN’’ dance challenge featured JYP artists including Stray Kids Han, Xdinary Heroes Jeongsu, NMIXX Jiwoo, KickFlip Donghwa, as well as many senior and junior artists in the music industry and chefs.
