BTS 'Arirang' charts on the UK Official Chart for 24 consecutive weeks, breaking the longest record

BTS’s fifth full-length album ’Arirang’ continues to maintain steady popularity on the UK and major global charts even six months after its release. In the latest Official Albums Top 100 chart compiled by the UK Official Charts from September 4 to 10, ’Arirang’ ranked 83rd. This is a rise of 9 places from the previous week, marking its 24th consecutive week on the chart and setting a new record for the longest-charting album by BTS. On detailed charts, the rankings also rose simultaneously: 41st on the Official Physical Albums chart (up 10 places), 30th on the Official Scottish Albums chart (up 11 places), and 43rd on the Official Album Sales chart (up 11 places). Notably, despite 28 new albums entering the Official Album Sales chart this week, ’Arirang’’s ranking increased. The long-running success of ’Arirang’ continued on the global streaming platform Spotify as well. On the Weekly Top Albums Global chart (compiled from August 28 to September 3), it held 2nd place for three consecutive weeks and has never fallen out of the top 3 during its 24 weeks on the chart. The title track ’Swim’ ranked 12th, and the album track ’Normal’ ranked 82nd, both charting for seven consecutive weeks. Alongside the album’s success, BTS is also conducting a world tour. On September 1-2 and 5-6, they held the ’BTS WORLD TOUR ’ARIRANG’ IN LOS ANGELES’ concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA. The city designated September 1 to 8 as ’BTS Week’ and organized city-wide events, including lighting the city hall building in a red hue symbolizing ’Arirang.’
