BTS 'Arirang' enters the UK Official Chart for 24 consecutive weeks... Team's longest record

The regular 5th album ’Arirang’ (ARIRANG) by BTS continues to maintain steady popularity on global charts even six months after its release. On the UK Official Albums Top 100 (September 4–10), the album ranked 83rd. This is a 9-spot rise from the previous week, marking 24 consecutive weeks on the chart and continuously breaking the team’s longest-running record every week. During the same period, it ranked 41st on the Official Physical Albums chart, 30th on the Official Scottish Albums chart, and 43rd on the Official Album Sales chart, each rising by 10 and 11 spots compared to the previous week. Notably, even with 28 new releases entering the Official Album Sales chart, ’Arirang’ climbed in rank. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart (August 28–September 3), it held 2nd place for three consecutive weeks and maintained a Top 3 position for 24 consecutive weeks. The title track ’SWIM’ ranked 12th, and the track ’NORMAL’ ranked 82nd, with ’NORMAL’ appearing on the chart for seven consecutive weeks. ’Arirang’ is an album that embodies BTS’s identity and the universal emotions they face, with Chairman Bang Si-hyuk serving as the executive producer. The title track ’SWIM’ sings about the attitude of moving forward without stopping amid the waves of life. Meanwhile, BTS will hold ’BTS WORLD TOUR ’ARIRANG’ IN LOS ANGELES’ at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1–2 and 5–6. The city of Los Angeles designated this period as ’BTS Week’ and held citywide welcoming events, including illuminating city halls in the album’s symbolic red color. After the Los Angeles concerts, BTS plans to conclude their North American tour and move on to South America.
