MONSTA X received positive reviews from the American business magazine Forbes for their new album, The Phase. On the 4th, Forbes highlighted that MONSTA X showcased an experimental and new musical direction while maintaining their original style in their latest release. The article particularly emphasized MONSTA X’s attempt to expand their scope with a diverse album and concepts as they mark their 12th year. Forbes stated, ″Through unique concept visuals and music, the group expressed a new ’Phase’ and demonstrated a fresh change.″ Regarding the title track, MAGIC, Forbes praised its composition that naturally transitions from hip-hop sounds to ballad and pop dance sounds, offering various musical textures and emotions.
