"Happy Together" Someday Lado, Wontak, Jung Seyoung appear... Lado confesses financial struggles, saying "I decided to disband to survive"

Composer Lado, formerly of the group Someday, revealed the hardships during the group’s active years and the reasons for their disbandment through a broadcast. On episode 8 of KBS 2TV variety show ″Happy Together - Glad I’m Not Alone,″ Someday members Lado, Wontak, and Jung Seyoung appeared and shared stories about their debut, the disbandment process, and their stage performance after 17 years. During the broadcast, Lado disclosed the reason for the disbandment after 17 years, saying, ″At that time, we were so hungry and struggling that we decided to disband to survive.″ He confessed, ″We never got to experience living like normal people, so we didn’t even know how to live like one. We didn’t have money for bus fare or meals.″ Someday debuted in 2009 with the drama ″Boys Over Flowers″ OST ″Do You Know,″ topping the Minihompy BGM chart and ranking 6th on ″Music Bank,″ but their actual income was minimal. Jung Seyoung revealed that wedding songs were practically their only source of income, and Lado said, ″We received 500,000 won when singing a wedding song. Since there were four members, we each got 100,000 won and used the remaining 100,000 won to go to a street food stall.″ Wontak shared that to save on costume expenses, members shared clothes, and there was a time when four members survived for three days on one bowl of food. They also shared an incident when their dorm was broken into. Lado said, ″Usually, thieves pick the lock to get in, but we lived with the door open. We encountered the thief, but since there was nothing to take, he just left.″ At the time, the members were eating shirtless, and the thief looked around the house and at the three people before leaving. The broadcast also revealed Someday’s first terrestrial TV stage in 17 years. The members performed a stage with a Y2K vibe, and viewers including Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun, Yoon Jong-shin, and Ahn Eun-jin were moved to tears. The members shared that they are currently active in their respective fields as office workers, composers, and producers. After Someday disbanded, Lado quit his singing career and transitioned to a composer under Black Eyed Pilseung, creating hit songs for various artists including TWICE and SISTAR, and also gained recognition as the producer of the group STAYC. Lado married Apink member Yoon Bomi last May.
