Son Heung-min and V's friendship draws attention... Highlighted by US 'USA Today'

The American daily newspaper USA Today focused extensively on the friendship between BTS V and soccer player Son Heung-min. USA Today reported that Son Heung-min attended the second day of BTS’s world tour ″Arirang″ concert in Los Angeles, held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. When Son Heung-min’s image appeared on the sold-out concert venue’s big screen, he smiled brightly, waved to the audience, and struck his signature pose, USA Today reported. The friendship between the two was also mentioned. USA Today emphasized that Son Heung-min spent his birthday last year with V and that they continue to maintain a close friendship. On July 8 last year, V posted a photo with the message ″HBD (Happy Birthday)″ for Son Heung-min’s birthday, and Son Heung-min responded by regramming it on his Instagram. The released photo showed V, Son Heung-min, and Cho Seong-jin sitting on an outdoor bench looking at the camera. Additionally, the two are connected through HiteJinro’s global marketing activities. V was appointed as HiteJinro’s global ambassador last July, and HiteJinro stated, ″We selected V as an ambassador to strengthen Jinro’s competitiveness and to approach consumers worldwide in a familiar way.″ The beer brand Terra selected Son Heung-min as its new model last March ahead of its 7th anniversary and the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup.
