Lisa Opens Far Ahead of Jisoo on Spotify as BLACKPINK Solo Releases Go Head to Head

BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jisoo released new solo music on the same day but their first global streaming numbers told very different stories.

Lisa’s new single “SaWaDiKa” debuted at No. 13 on Spotify’s Global Daily Chart, while Jisoo’s “CLICK” entered the same ranking at No. 186.

The sizeable gap has drawn attention as both BLACKPINK stars begin new chapters of their solo careers at almost exactly the same time.

Lisa’s ‘SaWaDiKa’ Debuts at No. 13

Released on September 4, “SaWaDiKa” recorded approximately 2.79 million chart-counted Spotify streams on its first day. That was enough to send Lisa straight to No. 13 globally.

Jisoo’s “CLICK,” released the same day, recorded approximately 1.25 million streams and entered at No. 186.

The difference became even more noticeable the following day. “SaWaDiKa” remained inside Spotify’s Global Top 50 at No. 32, with about 2.08 million chart-counted streams. “CLICK,” meanwhile, dropped out of the Global Top 200.

The Gap Extended Beyond Spotify

Spotify was not the only platform where Lisa opened ahead. On a global ranking calculated by combining Apple Music performance across different countries, “SaWaDiKa” placed at No. 29, compared with “CLICK” at No. 156.

The gap was smaller on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, where Lisa reached No. 2 and Jisoo ranked No. 7. Taken together, the early figures suggest “SaWaDiKa” has generated stronger initial international streaming momentum.

That does not necessarily determine how either song will perform over the longer term, but it gives Lisa a clear advantage in the opening days of the two releases.

‘CLICK’ Opens Lower Than Jisoo’s Previous Solo Songs

For Jisoo, the comparison with her own earlier releases may be even more significant than the comparison with Lisa.

Her solo debut “FLOWER,” released as the title track of her 2023 single album ME, entered Spotify’s global daily ranking at No. 6. The song generated approximately 4.67 million chart-counted streams on its first day, giving Jisoo one of the strongest Spotify debuts by a female K-pop soloist at the time.

Her 2025 comeback “earthquake,” from the mini album AMORTAGE, later debuted at No. 110. “CLICK” arriving at No. 186 therefore continues a downward pattern in the opening Spotify positions of her solo title tracks:

“FLOWER” — No. 6
“earthquake” — No. 110
“CLICK” — No. 186

However, “CLICK” is also being positioned as the beginning of a larger project rather than the end of its promotional cycle.

Jisoo Is Building Toward Her First Full-Length Solo Album

“CLICK” serves as the starting point for Jisoo’s first full-length solo album project.

The single album contains the title track and its instrumental version, with Jisoo expected to introduce additional singles with different moods as she gradually builds toward the complete album.

That means the performance of “CLICK” alone may not tell the full story of Jisoo’s upcoming era.

Future releases could change the trajectory as the album campaign continues.

Lisa Returns to Her Thai Roots With ‘SaWaDiKa’

Lisa, meanwhile, is using “SaWaDiKa” to introduce her next EP, “PRESS PLAY,” scheduled for release on October 23.

The six-track project follows her 2025 full-length album Alter Ego.

This time, Lisa is placing her Thai identity much more visibly at the center of the music.

The title “SaWaDiKa” comes from the Thai greeting commonly used to say “hello,” while the song leans heavily into hip-hop and rap.

For Lisa, who left Thailand as a teenager before eventually becoming one of K-pop’s biggest global stars, the track connects her current international profile with the country where her journey began.

Two BLACKPINK Members, Two Very Different Solo Strategies

The side-by-side releases also highlight how differently the BLACKPINK members are building their individual identities.

Lisa is entering her next era with an immediately global-facing single tied strongly to her Thai roots and an EP arriving within weeks. Jisoo is taking a slower rollout approach, using “CLICK” as the first piece of a larger full-length album project.

For now, the first set of numbers clearly favors Lisa. A No. 13 versus No. 186 Spotify debut is difficult to ignore especially when the songs arrived on exactly the same day.

But with both artists still at the beginning of their latest solo campaigns, the more meaningful comparison may come after their full projects are released.
