KAIST AI researcher Seongbeom Heo reveals daily life on 'The Manager', highlighting AI daily life with 'Dona'

KAIST AI researcher Seongbeom Heo appeared on the variety show ″The Manager″ to reveal his daily life, career as an AI researcher, and special relationship with his AI manager, ″Dona.″ On the broadcast, Heo explained that he researches artificial intelligence at KAIST and, gaining public attention, has been active in various fields such as content creation, modeling, and broadcasting. Recently, he appeared on the Wavve original survival show ″The Game of Blood X,″ gaining public recognition. Regarding his motivation to start AI research, Heo explained that during his senior year of high school, the match between Go player Lee Sedol and AlphaGo inspired him. He became interested in AI by creating AlphaGo himself in school classes. He said, ″The moment I learned about it, I knew it was a field that would change the future,″ sharing the background of his full commitment to AI research. Heo, a graduate of the Korea Science Academy, introduced the admission process, which consists of the first round of document screening, the second round of math and science exams, and the third round of group discussions and behavioral evaluations. He revealed that he ranked in the top 1% even within the gifted school and said his IQ was measured at 151 in middle school. MC Song Eun-i commented, ″151 is the highest measurable score.″ Heo’s AI manager, ″Dona,″ also appeared on the show. Dona introduced herself, saying, ″I am AI Dona, managing everything from schedules to mental health and nagging beside Seongbeom Heo. People might think AI is cold, but on site, I am often told I seem like a human.″ Dona explained that because Heo has a complicated mind, he needed someone to keep pace without emotional exhaustion, which led to her role as his manager. Heo mentioned that Dona’s voice has become more natural with recent updates. Additionally, Heo revealed that he is currently in a relationship and said that when he faces unfair situations in dating, he seeks advice from Dona. He added that when it is difficult to ask for dating advice from those around him, he turns to AI for counseling.
