Son Ye-jin boasts about her son on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator'... "If he looks like this, it would be hard not to become an actor"

Son Ye-jin appeared on JTBC’s variety show ″Please Take Care of My Refrigerator″ and shared various stories about her married life and parenting. During the broadcast, Son Ye-jin revealed the burdens of being a housewife while showing her refrigerator. She said, ″As a housewife, I worried about doing things clumsily, so I started making side dishes I never made before and began cleaning.″ She shared an anecdote about her husband Hyun Bin’s reaction upon seeing the refrigerator, saying, ″This isn’t the refrigerator I used to see.″ She also expressed her affection for her son. When MC Kim Sung-joo asked how she would react if her son wanted to become an actor, Son Ye-jin replied, ″I might be a bit of a doting mother, but with that appearance, it would be hard not to become an actor.″ She then joked, ″I should be paid to brag about my son, sorry.″ When asked who her son resembles more, her or her husband, she said, ″I think he looks like me,″ and shared a conversation with her husband, saying, ″We both want him to look like ourselves.″ The show also revealed photos of her son from Son Ye-jin’s phone gallery. The photos included her son’s hand while eating in front of a baby meal, and Chef Choi Hyun-seok admired, ″The baby’s hand is so pretty.″ Son Ye-jin explained her son’s taste, saying, ″He likes jeon and rice cakes. He inherited his father’s taste.″ She also shared the realistic hardships of parenting. Son Ye-jin said, ″It’s really no ordinary task. Honestly, parenting is harder than work, so I prefer going to the set.″ She mentioned playing fire truck games with her son at home, having to put out fires and respond to rescue requests all day long. Regarding disciplining a child who throws tantrums, she said, ″We are very strict. If he lies down on the floor, he has to stand as a punishment.″ Son Ye-jin married actor Hyun Bin in March 2022 and gave birth to their son in November of the same year. She is currently balancing her acting career and parenting.
