Director Lee Chang-dong Wins 'Silver Lion' [Photo]

[THE FACT|LEE SAEROM Reporters] Director Lee Chang-dong attends the press preview and press conference for the film 'Possible Love' held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 21st, holding up the Silver Lion (Grand Jury Prize) he won at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.'Possible Love' tells the story of two couples, a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary director and his husband, who meet to create a documentary and confront their different lives and hidden desires.'Possible Love,' director Lee Chang-dong's first new film in eight years, has already garnered significant attention with the appearances of actors Jeon Do-yeon, Sol Kyung-gu, Jo In-sung, and Jo Yeo-jeong, and has been recognized for its artistic merit by winning the Grand Jury Prize (Silver Lion) at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.This marks the first time a Korean film has won the Grand Jury Prize at this festival, and for director Lee, it is the first time in 24 years since he received the Best Director Award (Silver Lion) for 'Oasis' in 2002.'Possible Love,' which is also director Lee's first Netflix film, will be released in Korea on the 23rd and will compete for an Oscar as Korea's submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.
