CORTIS heated up the stage at the 27th anniversary of 'Rock in Japan'... The only K-pop artist to perform a passionate 30-minute set

CORTIS held a solo performance at Japan’s largest rock festival, ’Rock in Japan Festival 2026.’ CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) took the stage on the third day of the ’Rock in Japan Festival 2026,’ held on the 20th at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan. Celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, the festival is one of Japan’s four major outdoor rock festivals and attracts a large audience annually. CORTIS was the only K-pop artist officially invited to this event this year and participated on a Japanese outdoor music festival stage for the first time. Despite heavy rain on the day of the performance, CORTIS continued their stage for 30 minutes, engaging with the audience. The members shouted in Japanese, ″Let’s not lose to the rain and enjoy!″ to lift the atmosphere. Even as the ground turned muddy, many people stayed in front of the stage. The setlist included global hits like ″REDRED,″ tracks from their second mini-album such as ″TNT″ and ″ACAI,″ and the intro track ″GO!″ from their first mini-album. Their debut song ″What You Want″ and the first mini-album track ″FaSHioN″ were performed in band arrangement versions tailored for the festival, and the audience responded by jumping along in the rain to the members’ headbanging and performances. CORTIS will continue on the global stage. On the 27th, they were nominated in three categories—’Best Group,’ ’Best New Artist,’ and ’Best K-pop’—at the ’2026 MTV Video Music Awards’ held in the United States, and on October 9, they are scheduled to perform at the ’Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.’
