CORTIS makes first appearance at 'Rock in Japan Festival 2026'... Audience thrilled by 'REDRED' performance in heavy rain

CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) delivered a powerful performance at the ″Rock in Japan Festival 2026″ held at Chiba Soga Sports Park in Japan. They held a solo show on the third day of the festival, completing a passionate stage with the audience despite the heavy rain. CORTIS was the only K-pop artist invited to this year’s festival, marking their first time performing at an outdoor music festival in Japan. The members shouted in Japanese, ″Let’s not lose to the rain and enjoy!″ to engage the audience. Although the ground became muddy due to all-day rain, numerous fans stayed in front of the stage for 30 minutes, cheering loudly. The performance began with the global hit ″REDRED,″ followed by loud cheers and sing-alongs from the audience. Then, CORTIS showcased their unique choreography and performance with the mini-album 2 tracks ″TNT″ and ″ACAI,″ as well as the mini-album 1 intro track ″GO!″ Their debut song ″What You Want″ and the mini-album 1 track ″FaSHioN″ were presented with band arrangements, creating a fresh stage. The members headbanged to the dazzling guitar melodies, and the audience enjoyed the stage together in the rain. The ″Rock in Japan Festival″ is Japan’s representative rock music festival celebrating its 27th anniversary this year and is considered one of the four major rock music festivals in Japan. Through this stage, CORTIS met local festival audiences for the first time since their debut. Meanwhile, CORTIS has been nominated in three categories—″Best Group,″ ″Best New Artist,″ and ″Best K-pop″—at the ″2026 MTV Video Music Awards″ to be held in the United States on the 27th. They are also scheduled to perform at the ″Formula One Singapore Grand Prix″ stage on October 9.
