IU satisfied with the recording of the new song "From This Star" "Am I good at singing?"

IU expressed satisfaction with their singing skills during the recording process of the new song ″Unknown Planet.″ IU revealed the recording scene of the new song through the official YouTube channel ″Lee Ji-geum [IU Official].″ In the video, IU practiced the revised melody before recording and carefully checked their voice one phrase at a time, repeating the recording process. Especially in the second verse, they adjusted the intensity of emotional expression and meticulously checked the lyrics and pitch. During the recording, IU actively exchanged opinions with the staff, asking for feedback on the intro section. After finishing the recording, they expressed satisfaction, saying, ″It’s good. While working on this album, I felt for the first time, ’Wow, I sing well.’″ IU explained the influence of the recording equipment, saying, ″I think the recording studio also has an effect. This is the first time I’m using this microphone in this recording. It opens up the sound. So the microphone definitely helps me find the resonance well.″ They also mentioned the recording environment, saying, ″It’s hot, so my throat loosens, and my ears open because of the heat.″ On the 10th, IU released a new digital single containing the double title tracks ″Unknown Planet″ and ″Dear my crazy soulmate.″ Both songs were written by IU themselves. This single is their first new song in a year since ″Bye, Summer,″ released last September, and serves as a pre-release track for their upcoming sixth full-length album. Meanwhile, IU postponed the Goyang Stadium concert and the release schedule of the sixth full-length album, originally planned for September, due to the worsening symptoms of patulous eustachian tube syndrome in July last year. The agency stated at the time, ″We judged that IU’s recent ear condition makes it difficult to proceed with the performance,″ and adjusted the concert and album schedules. IU has been suffering from patulous eustachian tube syndrome. Additionally, on the occasion of their debut anniversary, IU donated a total of 200 million won, 50 million won each to the Korea Social Welfare Council, Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, Heart-Heart Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity Korea. The donations will be used for the independence of young adults preparing for self-reliance, rehabilitation treatment for vulnerable children and adolescents, support for the livelihood, education, and mental health of young women preparing for independence, and improvement of housing environments for national veterans. IU has been consistently donating under the name ″IU Anna,″ having previously donated 100 million won on Children’s Day this year and 300 million won on their birthday, May 16.
