aespa 'Whiplash' Remix EP Released... Featuring Four Next-Generation Producers

The mega hit remix EP of SM’s representative girl group aespa’s song ’Whiplash’ has been released, drawing significant attention. This work, titled ’ScreaM Rookies 2: Whiplash (Remixes),’ features the winning entries from the 2026 2nd ScreaM REMIX COMPETITION and showcases diverse reinterpretations by next-generation talents active in the K-POP and electronic music scenes. This competition was held for the second time following last year, with students from Seoul Institute of the Arts and Seoul Practical Music High School participating in fierce competition. Four next-generation producers selected through rigorous judging completed remixes infused with their unique styles and sensibilities under the mentorship of ScreaM Records producers. As a result, the EP includes four versions of the song: Whiplash (SJH Remix), Whiplash (DANTE Remix), Whiplash (MILLIM Remix), and Whiplash (SETO Remix). ScreaM Records announced plans to continue focusing on discovering and supporting new artists who will lead the future music scene. They expressed their ambition to foster the development of the electronic dance music creative ecosystem and concentrate on the growth of next-generation producers. Meanwhile, aespa is actively engaging in various activities, including fan meetings held in Japan and large-scale domestic performances. Their recent concert at Gocheok Sky Dome, attended by 35,000 spectators, reaffirmed the group’s high popularity and influence. This remix EP is expected to become another meaningful milestone in the musical journey of aespa, who represent the future of K-POP.
