KIM KI TAE reveals the cause of his husky voice... 'Vocal cord nodules + congenital factors'—appears on 'Day and Night'

KIM KI TAE, Hwang Garam, Lee Ji-hoon, and Jeremy Ochuba appeared on MBN’s ’Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night’ to share their personal stories. KIM KI TAE mentioned vocal cord nodules as the reason for his husky voice, explaining that although his vocal cords themselves are clean, a congenital issue with the back of his vocal cords caused the husky tone. He said, ″You could say it’s more damaged than perfected,″ and when asked if singing could harm his voice, he replied, ″Sometimes it does.″ Additionally, KIM KI TAE cited his son as the reason for auditioning. He explained that he wanted to show his son at least once that his father appeared on TV, which led him to participate in ’Sing Again 2.’ KIM KI TAE won the JTBC audition program ’Sing Again 2,’ which aired from 2021 to 2022, and received a prize of 100 million won. Hwang Garam shared the situation when he had to give up his activities due to COVID-19 while preparing as a singer after passing the audition for the band ’Pinocchio.’ Approaching his 40s, he decided to challenge himself by appearing on ’Oppa Era,’ achieving good results. Hwang Garam also revealed that he came to Seoul with 2 million won to pursue his dream of becoming a singer but experienced 147 days of homelessness. He also disclosed that he was tone-deaf in the past. Lee Ji-hoon and Jeremy Ochuba were active together in a multicultural children’s choir during elementary school and reunited after eight years on ’Our Ballad.’ They shared that while advancing through the revival round, they received malicious comments calling them a ″special multicultural admission.″ KIM KI TAE also mentioned receiving comments like ″Quit smoking″ due to his husky voice. Jeremy revealed that he had not met his father for eight years. Jeremy’s father is Nigerian and currently lives apart from the family. He has never visited Nigeria, his father’s country, and does not speak English well, but said he gained fans thanks to his father. Recently, he has been studying English through phone calls with his father. When asked if he receives DMs, Jeremy said, ″My father told me I already have 100 fans.″ Lee Ji-hoon said he got to know Kim Ju-ha through Reels and vowed, ″If I work in the future, I want to have a program like that.″ Kim Ju-ha explained a past video where he was sweating cold sweat while hosting the news, saying he had indigestion after eating cup noodles. He shared that a search term ″Kim Ju-ha urgent diarrhea″ appeared on portal sites, and he personally requested its removal but was surprised when the search term reappeared.
