This marks her comeback after 4 years and 9 months since her digital single 'Giggle', released in December 2021.The new single includes a total of three songs: the title track 'CALLING' in Korean and English versions, and the B-side track 'We Almost Were'.The title track 'CALLING' is a song that combines soulful R&B sounds with a rich choir. It sings about rediscovering oneself lost in darkness and rising up by following one's inner calling. The lyrics, "My extinguished heart revives and bursts out," convey a revived heart and the will to move forward.Gong Minzy leads the song's overwhelming emotions, oscillating between delicate emotional expression and powerful vocals. Additionally, she visually conveys the song's message through a point choreography that expresses the meaning of "I can hear it" in sign language.Gong Minzy stated, "I wanted to express music that everyone listens to not just with their ears, but also with their eyes and hearts." This point choreography can be seen in the music video for 'CALLING', which will be released along with the music.The B-side track 'We Almost Were' is an R&B song with a touch of rock sound.
