Lim Young Woong surpasses 14.6 billion cumulative streams on Melon, overtaking BTS to become number one overall

Lim Young Woong has surpassed 14.6 billion cumulative streams on Melon, maintaining the highest record among all domestic artists. According to Melon’s Hall of Fame artist section on the 29th, Lim Young Woong’s cumulative streams reached 14,605,520,000. An additional 7,062,300 streams were added in just one day, averaging about 294,000 streams per hour and approximately 4,900 streams per minute. Lim Young Woong was the first solo artist to enter the ″Diamond Club″ by surpassing 10 billion cumulative streams in the shortest time and surpassed BTS to become the all-time leader in cumulative streams on Melon. Since then, Lim Young Woong has continued to break records, widening the gap with the second place. The recently released special digital album ″IM HERO 10″ continued its success by charting all tracks on major music sites immediately after release and topping Melon’s Top 100 and Hot 100 charts. The title track ″Again Again″ was written and composed by Lim Young Woong and ranked number one on Billboard Korea’s Global K-Song chart. This album includes six new songs such as ″Again Again,″ ″Moise,″ and ″New York,″ along with four reimagined existing tracks like ″I Hate You″ and ″Love Always Runs Away.″ By combining new songs and remakes, it targets a diverse range of listeners. Lim Young Woong’s existing songs, spanning genres such as ballad, trot, and pop, continue to be consistently consumed on the charts regardless of new releases. The fandom ″Hero Era″ also contributes to the record-breaking streaming numbers through continuous streaming. Having surpassed 14.6 billion cumulative streams, Lim Young Woong’s next goal is to reach 15 billion streams.
