TWICE member Jeongyeon makes her first screen acting challenge as Nurse Officer Yoo Jeongyeon in the movie ’New Recruit : The Movie’ ’New Recruit : The Movie’ depicts new recruits hospitalized in a military hospital uncovering rumors and secrets related to the hospital. It is a work that expands the world of the drama series ’New Recruit’ onto the screen, directed by Min Jin-ki. Actor Ryu Kyung-soo appears as Yoo Jae-hoon, a mysterious soldier hospitalized in the military hospital. Jeongyeon takes on the role of Nurse Officer Yoo Jeongyeon, sharing the same name as her real name, marking her first step as an actress. This casting news is the first acting update since Jeongyeon left JYP Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with Barun Entertainment. Jeongyeon debuted as TWICE in 2015 and has been active with numerous hit songs such as ″Elegant,″ ″Cheer Up,″ and ″Fancy.″ Regarding her challenge in acting, Jeongyeon said in a Harper’s Bazaar Korea YouTube video released last June, where she appeared with Gong Seung-yeon, ″I was really scared and found it difficult when I recently tried acting, but it was very rewarding and fulfilling.″ She also added, ″Nowadays, it’s all about motivation.
