Hwang Min-hyun Announces October Comeback With New Single ‘OUR’

The singer and actor will release his three-track digital single on October 7 before beginning a four-city fan meeting tour

Hwang Min-hyun is returning with new music as he begins one of the busiest periods of his career since completing his alternative military service.

Pledis Entertainment announced on October 1 that Hwang will release the digital single “OUR” on October 7 at 6 p.m. KST. The project arrives approximately eight months after “Truth,” which was released in February.

“OUR” will contain three tracks, including its lead single. Although complete song details have not yet been revealed, the album is described as a reflection on the experiences and relationships that shaped Hwang into the person he is today.

Rather than treating the past as a private memory, the project focuses on the idea of “us.” It looks back at the people who shared those moments with him and expresses a desire to build deeper connections through music.

‘OUR’ Opens a More Personal Chapter

The title carries particular meaning at this stage of Hwang’s career.

After spending years moving between group activities, solo music and acting, Hwang is returning with a project centered on connection. “OUR” suggests a shift from individual reflection toward the shared history between the artist and the people who have remained beside him.

That message also matches the direction of his upcoming fan events. The official description for his “Peach-Blossom Land” fan meeting in Seoul presents the event as a time that Hwang and his fans will create together under the name “we.”

The connection between the single and the fan meeting gives “OUR” a larger purpose. It is not simply a release placed between acting projects. It appears designed to introduce the emotional theme of Hwang’s next era before he meets audiences across Asia.

Hwang Min-hyun’s First Major Music Cycle Since His Return

Hwang completed his alternative military service in December 2025 and quickly resumed activities in music, entertainment and acting.

He released “Truth” in February 2026 and held fan meetings in Seoul and Tokyo. He later returned to a large international stage as part of Wanna One’s appearance at KCON LA 2026 in August.

“OUR,” however, offers Hwang another opportunity to place his individual voice at the center of the conversation.

His solo catalog has often highlighted a restrained vocal style and carefully controlled image. His first solo EP, “Truth or Lie,” released in 2023, explored the contrast between the public image people see and the emotions hidden underneath it. The 2024 digital single “Lullaby” presented a softer and more comforting side of his music.

The concept behind “OUR” continues that gradual expansion. This time, the focus is not only on Hwang’s inner world but also on the relationships that gave those experiences meaning.

Music, Acting and Fan Meetings Converge

The October release arrives shortly before Hwang begins his new fan meeting tour.

The Seoul edition of “2026 Hwang Min-hyun Fan Meeting ‘Peach-Blossom Land’” will take place at the COEX Artium Woori Bank Hall from October 16 to 18. He will then travel to Tokyo for two shows on October 21 and 22, followed by events in Macao on November 7 and Taipei on November 27.

The schedule includes seven performances across four cities, giving Hwang immediate opportunities to present his new music directly to fans.

His acting career is also moving forward. Hwang is set to return in the second season of TVING’s “Study Group,” continuing his role as Ga Min, a student who dreams of academic success despite possessing an exceptional talent for fighting.

The series adds another dimension to a career that has steadily expanded beyond idol music. From his debut with NU’EST in 2012 and his activities with Wanna One to leading roles in dramas including “Alchemy of Souls” and “My Lovely Liar,” Hwang has built an identity that moves naturally between music and acting.
