While he has received public attention since childhood due to his parents being entertainment stars, he is known to have built his career in his own field rather than relying on his parents' fame.His mother, Kwon Sung-hee, gained recognition as the lead vocalist of the co-ed trio Sesam Trio, which represented the music scene in the late 1970s. After forming Sesem Trio in 1977, the song "Naseong-e Gamyeon," released in 1978, became a massive hit, propelling her to stardom. This song, created by composer Gil Ok-yoon, remains a signature hit symbolizing Kwon Sung-hee and Sesem Trio to this day.
