'Chiikawa the Movie' - 'Resurrection Man: The Red' to be released side by side on September 30

Two adventure films that shake up everyday life have been released in theaters to coincide with the National Foundation Day holiday. On the 30th of last month, the animated film ″Chikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island″ and ″Resurrection Man: The Red,″ starring Koo Kyo-hwan, were released simultaneously. ″Chikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island″ tells the story of Chikawa and his friends receiving an intriguing invitation and setting off on a trip to an island. The offer includes a reward 100 times greater than usual, along with free limited-edition ramen and desserts, but Otter questions the contents of the invitation. What begins as an ordinary trip unfolds into an adventure uncovering the island’s hidden secrets. The cute characters face unexpected situations and dangers, showing how friends help each other. The original creator Nagano participated in the screenplay, and director Kei Oikawa helmed the film. Meanwhile, ″Resurrection Man: The Red″ depicts the story of Seok-hwan, a job seeker who gains the ability to come back to life 72 hours after death. Koo Kyo-hwan plays Seok-hwan, and Shin Seung-ho portrays Black, who pursues him. Seok-hwan’s resurrection ability adds new tension to the story, featuring action scenes that bring the imagination of the webtoon original to live-action. Kang Ki-young appears as Seok-hwan’s friend Young-ha, and Kim Si-a plays his younger sister Ye-rin, adding energy to the film. Directed by Baek, with music by Primary and Joji, both films have a runtime of 101 minutes.
