Former announcer Kim Da-young announces pregnancy ahead of year-end childbirth

Broadcaster Kim Da-young announced her pregnancy and revealed the reason why she had not disclosed it until now. In a video released on her YouTube channel ’Dayoung Anaya,’ Kim shared the news of her pregnancy, explaining that she originally planned to cautiously announce it around her birthday but the news came out earlier than expected. Kim Da-young revealed that the pregnancy rumors started after she posted a photo taken after watching a soccer national team friendly match on social media. She thought she had taken the photo so that her belly was not visible, but many sharp-eyed people noticed, which led to the news spreading. In response, Baek Sung-jae’s agency SM C&C officially confirmed the pregnancy, stating, ″The couple Baek Sung-jae and Kim Da-young are preparing to welcome a precious new life.″ Regarding why she did not announce the pregnancy immediately, Kim Da-young said, ″Because pregnancy involves uncertainties until the baby is safely carried, I wanted to share the news as slowly and carefully as possible.″ She added, ″It wasn’t that I was trying to hide it on purpose.″ Kim Da-young intended to share the news first with the listeners of the radio show ’Baek Sung-jae’s Ten,’ hosted by her husband Baek Sung-jae, but apologized as the pregnancy news was unexpectedly reported in the media first. She said she did not know she was pregnant when she appeared on broadcasts after resigning but found out later, and some shows were filmed even after the early stages of pregnancy. She also confirmed that all broadcasts she appeared in after resigning were filmed while she was pregnant. Regarding the expected delivery date, Kim Da-young said, ″I think I will be able to meet the baby by the end of this year without crossing into the next year.″ She expressed gratitude for the many congratulations and said, ″I will stay healthy, so I hope you all take good care of your health as well.″ Meanwhile, Kim Da-young, born in 1992, is a former SBS announcer and married Baek Sung-jae, who is 14 years older, last May.
