Bang Chan surpasses 500 million won in cumulative donations this year on his birthday... 245 copyrighted songs and 270,000 festival attendees mobilized

Stray Kids’ Bang Chan donated a total of 300 million KRW, with 100 million KRW each to the nonprofit organization Hearcycle, the international relief and development NGO World Vision, and the nonprofit East Asia Sea Community OSEAN, in celebration of his birthday on October 3. With this, Bang Chan has donated a cumulative total of 500 million KRW this year. Bang Chan’s recent donations will be used in various fields. Through Hearcycle, the funds will support hearing medical expenses and social reintegration for young people with hearing impairments. Through World Vision, the donations will be used for scholarship programs and tailored growth support for children and youth from low-income and vulnerable groups. The funds given to OSEAN will be used for coastal cleanup, marine debris collection, and river cleanup activities. Through his agency JYP Entertainment, Bang Chan stated, ″It is meaningful to be able to extend my small support to various areas in need, from children’s dreams to the environment we live in. I hope my heart reaches those in need and contributes to everyone dreaming of a better tomorrow.″ Bang Chan has consistently continued his donations. In September, he donated a total of 200 million KRW, with 100 million KRW each to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the UNICEF Korea Committee. The donation to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital was for establishing a customized professional rehabilitation center considering patient age and disease characteristics, and the donation to the UNICEF Korea Committee was for recovery efforts from the major floods in Nepal. Previously, Bang Chan donated 100 million KRW each to Samsung Seoul Hospital and the UNICEF Korea Committee on his 2025 birthday, and on his 2024 birthday, he donated 100 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea, earning him membership in the high-donor group ″Honor Society.″ Last year, together with Stray Kids members, he contributed funds to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, World Vision, and Hong Kong World Vision to support recovery efforts from wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions and fire damage in Hong Kong. He is also actively continuing his music activities. Bang Chan is known to be the copyright holder of 245 songs, the highest number among K-pop idols according to the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). He leads the group’s producing team 3RACHA alongside members Changbin and Han, participating in music production. Additionally, at the group’s main festival ″STRAYCITY″ held in Mexico City on September 25 and 26 local time, the Latin America performances attracted a total audience of 270,000 across five shows in three locations.
