In the KBS2 weekend mini-series ″Not Your Love,″ Imi-do (Ahn Eun-jin) faced a crisis in her relationship with her lover Namgung-ho (Seo Kang-joon). In episode 5, Imi-do apologized to Namgung-ho for going out overnight without contact on their first snow anniversary. She explained that although she got drunk and fell asleep after arguing over a settlement at Han Tae-seung’s office, nothing happened, and she promised to abstain from alcohol for three months. The two barely reconciled by following their rule of softening their emotions by adding the suffix ″yeom″ to the end of their words whenever they argued. Namgung-ho visited adult film production companies to protect Imi-do’s dream, offering 10% more than the contract amount to settle the remaining contracts. Meanwhile, he saw a text on Imi-do’s phone from her biological mother Choi Hwa-young (Choi Hee-jin) demanding living expenses, realizing that Imi-do’s reason for directing adult films was not just financial hardship. Imi-do also found out that Namgung-ho had been trying to stop her from directing adult films. Namgung-ho asked Imi-do when she started giving money to her mother, and Imi-do confessed that she wanted Namgung-ho not to meet her mother directly to avoid getting hurt. As their hidden choices to protect each other were revealed, they confirmed the weight of the love each had endured alone. Meanwhile, after Song Hae-na (Song Ji-woo) caused a commotion at Imi-do’s house, anxious that Imi-do knew about her affair and her father’s fraud, Han Tae-seung arrived. Tae-seung provoked, saying, ″Do you think I came here to find Song Hae-na?″ and confessed his hidden feelings. He even presented a scenario where he would be made out to be the person who buried a talented rookie director and kissed Imi-do. She could not push him away. Later, Imi-do recalled the memory of ″kissing this man,″ and Namgung-ho, exhausted from a clash with his biological mother, arrived in front of Imi-do’s house. The ending featured the three facing each other separated by a single front door. In episode 6, Namgung-ho was deeply shocked after hearing a recorded file of the moment Mi-do and Tae-seung kissed. Mi-do accepted Tae-seung’s surprise kiss, and Tae-seung said, ″I know you’re confused. I’m just as confused, which is why I came here. Let me make a proposal. Let’s play for a while.″ Mi-do punched Tae-seung but was overpowered, and she tearfully pleaded, ″I regret that day so much it drives me crazy, to the point I want to die. So please, just get out of my sight.″ Meanwhile, Namgung-ho informed his two friends, Young-do (Kim Nam-hee) and Wan-do (Lee Min-jae), about his biological mother Hwa-young’s detention in a detention center. Young-do said, ″I told you never to tell me like you’re just informing me when things are settled. Don’t do that. We’re not strangers; it really hurts.″ Namgung-ho confessed, ″If I talk about it, I feel so miserable. It’s so miserable and embarrassing that such a woman is my mother. Especially in front of you, Wan-do, and Mi-do. That’s why I couldn’t tell you. Sorry.″ Mi-do firmly told a loan shark, ″I will pay back the money. I will pay interest every month.
