xikers members Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Junghoon, and Seeun revealed the production process of ’RUNNERS HIGH,’ sharing the emotions embedded in the song, teamwork, and behind-the-scenes of the recording. In this project, the members shared their feelings and impressions upon first hearing the song. Jinsik said that as soon as he heard the song, he felt it matched his style and wanted to practice and record it quickly. Hyunwoo mentioned that the lyrics and melody seemed to express his emotions well, and he felt a thrilling emotion similar to when he first received ’Rockstar.’ Junghoon said the lyrics contained messages he wanted to convey to himself and the members, empathizing with the blend of joy and sorrow of youth. Seeun evaluated that the song carried a relatable message connected to her own life. During vocal practice and recording, each member’s individuality and teamwork were emphasized. The members mentioned that they were growing by absorbing each other’s strengths, and during recording, they tried various approaches in emotional expression, tone, and vocalization. Hyunwoo guided the members through vocal lessons so that each could interpret the song in their own way. Jinsik confessed that he struggled with the high vocal range and parts that required emotional expression.
