BTS appears on 'BTS Avenue' ahead of Lima's first concert... Surco, Fountain Park, and more events abound

BTS is holding a concert in Lima, Peru for the first time since their debut, and various commemorative events are taking place locally. From the 5th to the 11th, the Santiago de Surco district of Lima temporarily renamed Sacramento Street as ″Avenida BTS″ and installed signs. The Arco Morisco, a landmark structure of Surco Friendship Park, has been illuminated with purple lights since the 5th, and a light show themed around BTS is held daily until the 11th. Additionally, the Fuente de la Fantasía at the Circuito Mágico del Agua fountain park is hosting a BTS themed event featuring music, lighting, and water screens during the same period. On the 7th, 9th, and 10th local time, BTS will hold the ″BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG IN LIMA″ at Estadio San Marcos in Lima. Peru’s official tourism site, Peru Travel, introduced this concert as an opportunity to promote the country’s cuisine, culture, and natural scenery. Previously, BTS began their South American tour on the 2nd and 3rd at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, attracting about 100,000 spectators over two days. Rolling Stone en Español evaluated the concert, saying, ″BTS met expectations and exceeded them at several moments,″ and called it ″the concert an entire generation has been waiting for the most.″
