Lee Seung-hwan: "The 2005 stage was a production with my hair on fire"...Reason and behind-the-scenes revealed

Lee Seung-hwan revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the moment his head caught fire during a past performance. On the 8th, Lee Seung-hwan posted content on his channel introducing footage from a past concert. He said, ″Many people see me quietly standing and singing ballads,″ and added, ″I want to show you my wild side from the past.″ The video released that day was the opening scene of a 2005 performance, capturing the moment Lee Seung-hwan appeared on stage by passing through burning paper called ’Magic Paper,’ and his head caught fire. Lee Seung-hwan explained, ″My head started to catch fire. I put it out with my hands, and the security team had wet towels,″ adding, ″It didn’t feel hot at all.″ The creation of this effect involved an anecdote with Yoo Hee-yeol. Lee Seung-hwan revealed that during a surprise birthday party for Yoo Hee-yeol, who used to play keyboards in the band, the members sprayed hair dye on their heads, which was a chemical substance that caused the fire incident. He said, ″It was Yoo Hee-yeol’s birthday. We tried to secretly throw a birthday party, and because of that performance, everyone sprayed hair dye on their heads. But it was a chemical substance, so it caught fire.″ He added, ″Because I knew fire could catch like that, I was able to create the effect of my head catching fire in an actual performance.″ He mentioned that due to stricter regulations on performance effects now, it is difficult to stage the same act. Lee Seung-hwan also shared news about new content. On the 7th, he announced a one-time project called ’Stage of Madness’ on his personal account, saying, ″It consists of four episodes and is like a performance version of ’Unbelievable Stories,’″ and added, ″No one showed interest, so our performance team and I made it ourselves with ’Naedonnaejjik’ (paid and filmed by ourselves).″ He also pledged, ″If each episode exceeds one million views, I will seriously consider resuming performances.″ Meanwhile, the duet video of ″How Can Love Be Like That″ with Jung Joon-Il recently uploaded on Lee Seung-hwan’s official channel has surpassed 1.28 million views.
