CLOSE YOUR EYES, 'Music Bank' No.1 + First-week sales record of 710,000 copies... Continuous run on global charts

CLOSE YOUR EYES took first place on KBS2’s ’Music Bank.’ They won the trophy on the broadcast on the 9th with the title track ″Drop That!″ from their fourth mini-album ’256th Note.’ This album surpassed 710,000 copies in initial sales after its release on the 30th of last month, setting a new personal record. On music charts, ″Drop That!″ reached a peak position of 26 on Melon’s latest release chart, 3 on Bugs’ real-time chart, and 56 on the daily chart. It entered the TOP 5 on Bugs’ real-time chart for the first time since their debut. On overseas charts, ’256th Note’ ranked 62nd on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, marking the third highest position among K-pop artists currently on that chart. Right after receiving the award, CLOSE YOUR EYES said, ″We worked really hard preparing this album, so we are truly happy to receive such a great award. Thanks to Closer (the fandom name), we have been feeling what it means to be loved these days and how happy that is.″ They added, ″We believe everything is thanks to Closer, and we will strive to become even more impressive artists who can repay them.″ The title track ″Drop That!″ samples ″Enjoy This Night″ and reinterprets it in a 90s street hip-hop style. CLOSE YOUR EYES added their unique sensibility based on bold genre experimentation and an expanded musical spectrum.
