Cha Tae-hyun sincerely evaluates the songs and stories of audition participants on the first broadcast of 'Our Ballad 2'

Cha Tae-hyun revealed why he did not press the pass button for an audition participant on SBS’s ″Our Ballad 2.″ He appeared as a representative of ’Top Back Ear’ on the program, which aired its first episode on the 5th, and participated in judging again following season 1. He showed interest not only in the participants’ singing but also in their reasons for challenging the competition and their stories. In particular, during the performance of 18-year-old Jeon I-su, whom he had met on the past show ″Genius Discovery,″ while other judges gave positive reviews, Cha Tae-hyun did not press the pass button. He explained, ″I felt very conflicted, wondering if it was right for I-su to compete in the next round,″ and added, ″I was worried about what I-su would gain by competing here.″ He continued, ″My sincere wish is that thanks to I-su, our friends will encounter another world,″ and encouraged, ″Don’t listen to bad things, just do what you want.″ Cha Tae-hyun gave various advice and evaluations to the participants. To Han Roi, he advised, ″I think you know very well that you are very good. I hope you can be a little more relaxed,″ and about Heo Chae-min, he said, ″I think you shine the most star quality in season 2.″ To Lee Minwoo, he said, ″I liked that I could feel you singing in your own voice as if telling a story.″ He also responded to the participants’ personal stories. To Ra Yoo-jung, who came from Ulsan, he said, ″If I don’t support Yoo-jung, who else would I support? I wanted to cheer for you,″ and to Kim Soo-ah, who is nurturing her dream of becoming a singer at a youth shelter, he encouraged, ″I hope you will sing more confidently and not be discouraged in the future.″ To Kim So-yeon, who sang about loneliness due to the absence of his father, he said, ″It’s good that your own color is strong, but I hope you get healed by getting along well with friends here and meeting another world.″ Even during serious judging, he made jokes. To Kim Do-hyun, who enlisted early to change his introverted personality, he said, ″It showed that you have healed a lot and overcome it,″ then joked, ″Since you passed this time, it wouldn’t be bad if you keep coming in military uniform,″ which brought laughter. To 16-year-old judo athlete Kim Sun-eum, who sleeps at school and practices singing all night, he joked, ″Sun-eum, you do everything except studying.″ He also shared his thoughts on child education. When asked about his daughter’s independence after hearing the story of 15-year-old Park Ye-seung living alone, he replied, ″It’s not a problem of high school; I told my children they can’t leave until they get married.″ He then firmly said, ″No matter where you win a gold medal, it’s useless,″ but showed interest and smiled when the prize money of 100 million won and scholarship conditions were presented. ″Our Ballad 2″ airs every Monday at 10 PM.
